Why is it that so many people think quitting is synonymous with failing?

It’s not! I am here to tell you that the most successful people quit all the time!

Yep, you heard me right.

The most successful people in the world are able to quickly identify when something is going to take them to where they ultimately want to be in life, and when it’s not.

They feel it in their gut, and they follow that instinct.

If it fits? They chase it without ever looking back, despite the obstacles that stand in their way.

And if and when it doesn’t fit?

They quit, without giving a thought as to what anyone else thinks.

Let me be very clear here – this is very different from quitting when times are tough.

Quitting when times are tough isn’t a habit of highly successful people.

Highly successful people are OKAY with tough. They expect tough.

Tough doesn’t make them call it quits.

Knowing it’s not the right choice for them does make them call it quits.

I’m sharing this with you today because I was given the chance to meet Brendon Burchard recently and his story and his message had me in tears.

His message was exactly what I’m telling you today – quit the wrong thing now so you can make room for the right things.

I’ve worked SO hard to follow this principle in my own life and I believe this is a large part of the reason I’m experiencing the success that I am today.

You see, over the past few decades, I embarked on countless different paths and although the passion was there for all of them (I was even in the local paper for one of them once), I just knew in my gut that more times than not, the outcome wasn’t going to give me what I ultimately wanted.

Sure, that thing might have looked great on me. But did it FEEL right when I really tried it on?

Nope.So I quit.

I quit, not caring what anyone else would think of my choices.

I quit, even though my husband at the time made me feel stupid for it.

I quit because I knew I wanted to make room for what was best for me.

I quit and eagerly pushed forward to discover new things, knowing deep down that someday, I would have something huge to share with the world (even though I didn’t know exactly what that was at the time).

Then, when I started health coaching, I knew I found my purpose. It looked great on AND it felt great. I felt it in my gut. It was where I was supposed to be.

Does this mean that times didn’t get rough as Hell?

Does that mean that the world suddenly ceased to challenge me?

Heck no!

But that’s because sometimes the things we are meant to do, that we are called to do, are often the hardest to accomplish.

Yet if I would have quit when the technology got too hard, or when my money mindset issues threatened to run my life, or when my then-husband challenged my every move, or when team members failed me, or when my bank account dipped too low, I would NEVER be where I’m at today.

I would have closed my health coach doors, I wouldn’t have helped hundreds of people live better lives, I would have never birthed an Institute, and I would have never had the opportunity to mentor and educate thousands of amazing health coaches.

But I AM here today at this wonderful point in my life because I DID quit when things didn’t feel right and I refused to quit when they did.

So today and moving forward, I want you to do the same.

I want you to STOP giving yourself so much crap over quitting the things that don’t feel right to you.

I also want you to realize that if you DO feel called to something; if you try something on for size and you feel it in your gut that it’s the right choice for you, do NOT give yourself permission to quit.

Instead, chase it with all of your heart and soul and don’t let anyone stop you. It’s only then that you’ll truly experience all the amazing things the world has in store for you.

I’m compelled to share this video from Brendon with you today because it drives home everything I’m telling you in this blog post.
